Injustice for the Disabled

Injustice for the Disabled

A disabled woman parked at Houston hospital, Forced to face what she may approximate While cancer scan weighs on her mind, A ticket for $500 she'll have to find.

Concerns of health take a back seat, When being punished for being incomplete. What is this injustice, is it fair? When she has naught to pay, what to share? Where can she turn for a reprieve, When will the struggle begin to leave?

No compassion, no mercy in sight, This ticket grants her no respite. A beam of hope to carry on through, At crossroads and in dark times too. What better way to hold her down, Than harsh judgement without a sound?

Where is her value, her human rights? How to combat when no one fights? There needs to be help, support and friend, When those in power hurt without an end. A hefty ticket should not be the answer, For disabled people they need to sanctioner.
