Stranded in Nowhere
Puddles of blood, needles on the floor,
Too late to realize what's in store.
An uninsured British tourist, age forty-one,
Struck down with suspected leukaemia, so forlorn.
He wanted to explore this nation far and wide,
But from that "hell hole" hospital he was denied.
Without the proper funds, he is unable to depart:
Stranded in a place from where he can do no start.
His friends come to his aid and new hope is seen,
A chance to raise funds and fly him back, they dream.
Though the target is lofty, and quite a sum to raise,
He's grateful for each donation and every God bless.
Though the outlook appears grim, miracles happen each day;
A goal of ten thousand pounds, we all fervently pray.
The courage and hope of this stranded British man,
To be able to come home again, let's make it a plan.
