A gruesome event unfolded, leaving such pain The fate of Derek Chauvin still to be strained A Greenville prison is where the harm would occur Stab wounds he sustained, twenty-two in fact sure The path for justice for his victims still long In the face of such tragedy we must be strong Though none of us can feel the guilt or the shame We must never forget the hurt he has caused the same The wounds of his alleged attack are still fresh But no amount of pain can ever truly redress
