Title: Whispering Woes
When whispers echo through the aisle, Of fortune's flame, ablaze and wild, A sullen cloud casts a heavy veil, As mighty companies begin to ail, Lamentations rise in corporate lore, As jobs are lost, forevermore.
In the land where dreams are sown, Where skyscrapers stand tall, alone, The tunes of job security fade away, While the mighty slash the ranks, they say, Struggles embolden the giants of trade, Leaving countless souls dismayed.
Layoffs seep through corporate floors, Like a chilling draft from unseen shores, Whose names were etched on office doors, Now swept away, like sands on moors, Tears cascade in despair's cascade, For the livelihoods that quickly fade.
Downsizing, the buzzword of disdain, A ruthless dance in profit's sweet reign, As companies shed their human weight, To keep the growth rate on an upward slate, Yet for those left behind in this shroud, It's an uncertain path they must plow.
Unemployment spreads its menacing wings, While anguish entwines the hearts of kings, The workforce struggles to bear the strain, As dreams are shattered like fragile glass panes, But resilient spirits rise amidst the gloom, For hope blooms even in the darkest room.
Amidst the tide of this recession's roar, The indomitable human spirit shall soar, From shattered dreams to new horizons, Weaving hope's tapestry through pain's crimson, For these trials shall never fully define, The brilliance within the American spine.
